CSPRA’s Board of Directors discussed and took the following actions at their Board meeting in Lee Vining on September 27, 2018.

• Adding CSPRA's name on the No on 6 website as opposing Prop 6 under “Public Safety” organizations
• Donate $200 to the No on 6 Campaign
• Help our members to understand the impacts and why vote No on Prop 6
• Post on the CSPRA website a No on 6 link and a statement about why CSPRA opposes it.

Why CSPRA Opposes Proposition 6

 

CSPRA opposes Prop 6 because it will result of millions of dollars being lost that support vital park operations such as road and bridge maintenance, traffic enforcement, and a host of other vital transportation-related expenses in California State Parks.

 

Prop 6 will stop critical transportation projects and jeopardize the safety of our bridges and roads that visitors use driving to State Parks.  Prop 6 eliminates more than $5 billion annually from existing transportation funds and stops funding for more than 6,500 bridge and road safety, transportation and public transit improvement projects currently underway throughout California.
