Vicki was selected to receive the Hororary Ranger award in 1998 for her tireless efforts as a volunteer, park supporter, philanthropist and exemplary service on the California State Park Commission. She was instrumental in the acquisition and classification of many new park properties. She always supported the field Ranger and visited many parks to talk with staff when matters were before the Commission.
