| CSPRA selected Everett Powell as a 1965 recipient of the Honorary Ranger award, for the many years of commitment to the protection and preservation of redwood lands in Big Basin and Big Sur parks.
Everett was one of the pioneer state park employees, starting in 1927. In 1988, then CSPRA Historian Mike Muetz interviewed Powell on various aspects of his early park career. A 48-page transcript of that interview is available at POWELL INTERVIEW. |
