California State Park Rangers Association

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The department will again be participating in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, See the info below.  Attached are the order forms for pink bear patches, pins and the SPPO pink bear badge.

New for this year are Pink Bear patches for Volunteers and Lifeguards.

Please note, that the Pink Bear badge can take up to 8 weeks to be delivered, so if you want to wear a pink bear badge for October, order right away.

The California State Park Rangers Association (CSPRA) , the Ranger Foundation, the California State Park Anniversary Committee and the Resource Protectors Peace Officers Association are all partners with the department on this effort and have supported the project by funding the initial purchase of CSP pink bear cancer awareness patches and pins.

All net profits from sales of pink bear items, will also be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrf.org/about), rated A+ and 4-stars by the two principal charity watchdogs, Charity Navigator and Charity Watch.

There are probably few of us who have not had family and/or friends touched by this disease.  I know I have.  I personally encourage you support, in any way you can, the CSP and other efforts to combat breast cancer. Mike Lynch, CSPRA President
