Recently, I received the following picture of Division of Beaches and Parks Staff on the, then new, State Park Lifeguard patrol boat "SURFWATCH" off Huntington State Beach in the early 1960's. I'm trying to identify the person on the right in a business suit. I'm not even sure its a Parks person, could be someone connected with the boat's construction, unknown.. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks,
Mike Whitehead

Jeff,
I'll leap in here, as I was the one that sent it to Mike. The lifeguard deckhand is Jerry McGraw, later LG. Sup. and Rescue Boat Operator; the young girl is my step-daughter, and the good looking guy at the helm is yours truly. It was taken during the Newport Beach to Ensenada sailboat race, late sixties. It was not uncommon to have VIPs on board from the old District 6 or Sacto.. So many of these people supported the rescue boat program, I feel badly when I can not remember their names. Thanks for placing the photo on the site, and all that you do.
